Configure Shipping Method Help

You have selected to add or update a shipping method. Please complete the fields below and press the UPDATE button to save the information.

Required fields are indicated with a star * after their field name.

SHIPPING METHOD NICKNAME*
This field is used internally by the store and it's never displayed to the customer. It will only appear while you are working within the store's administration system.

This field should contain a unique name so you may properly identifiy this shipping method record while you are creating the shipping calculations for your store. This field is required and should be unique.

EXAMPLES:

UPS Ground - Zone 1

UPS Ground - Zone 2
UPS Ground - Zone 3
FexEd Overnight - Zone 101

FexEd Overnight - Zone 105

SHIPPING METHOD NAME*
This field is required for each shipping method you setup. The name that you enter will be displayed to your customers during checkout and can be up to 40 characters long.

EXAMPLES:

UPS Ground

FexEd Overnight

AVAILABLE FOR USA DESTINATIONS?
If you want this shipping method to be available for customer orders being shipped to destinations within the USA, then click the YES option. Otherwise, click the NO option.

AVAILABLE FOR NON-USA DESTINATIONS?
If you want this shipping method to be available for customer orders being shipped to destinations outside of the USA (International), then click the YES option. Otherwise, click the NO option.

NOTE: you can click "NO" for both of the USA and NON-USA options. This will temporarily disable the shipping method for your store. When you want the shipping method to be active again, just return here and click one or both of the "YES" options.

LIST DISPLAY POSITION*
This field initially shows the current position within the list. If you change this value, it will change where this shipping method appears in the list. Enter 0 to move it to the top of the list. Enter 99999 to move it to the bottom. Enter 15 to insert it between method position 10 and method position 20.

NOTE: list positions are automatically adjusted after you update a method. The store will re-sequence the list positions to be multiples of 10. That means the first method will receive a list position of "10", and each method thereafter will increase by 10.

Example: if you have 5 shipping methods defined, they will be assigned list positions of 10, 20, 30, 40, and 50. This numbering scheme makes it easier to insert a method between two existing positions. To insert a method between the first two methods (positions 10 and 20), you would assign a position value of 15. Actually, you could enter any value from 11 through 19 and it would accomplish the same thing.
