This section is used to define the actual shipping calculations to be used for the indicated shipping method. REMINDER: Each shipping method has its own USA and NON-USA (International) shipping calculations which can be updated using this section of the store. The store displays (at the top of the page) which type of shipping calculations (USA or International) are currently be processed and which shipping method the page is for. NOTE: Coupon savings and purchase discounts are deducted before sales taxes and shipping charges are calculated and added to the customer's order. GETTING
STARTED WITH SHIPPING CALCULATIONS: This page is used to define the calculations which is based on what you enter in the various fields and tables on this page. Assuming you elect to have the store "Calculate Shipping and Add to Customer Order", then the rest of the fields on this page will be active and can be used to calculate shipping costs for this shipping method. When you have completed making changes, click on the UPDATE button at the bottom of it to save the information to the store's database. USING
THE CALCULATION FIELDS AND TABLES: MIX AND MATCH: There are many fields and tables on this page that you can use. All of them are OPTIONAL and can be used in any combination with each other to achieve the desired results. In other words, you can mix and match the various fields and tables in order to have the store calculate the costs for this shipping method just the way you want them. If a field or table is blank, then the store will ignore it and NOT use it in the calculations. To activate a table or field, just enter valid information into it and the store will use it when it calculates shipping costs for this method. Required fields are indicated with a star * after their field name. SHIPPING
CHARGE ACTIVE* Select the "Yes" option to tell the store this record is active. This is the default setting for this field. SHIPPING
CHARGE CONTROL* If you do not want the store to calculate shipping on any order shipped using this shipping method, select the first option "No Shipping Calculations Needed". The customer will see "No Charge" displayed as the cost for this shipping record during checkout. If you select this option, you do NOT need to remove any information entered into the other fields on this page since the store will just them. Select the second option ("Calculate Shipping and Add to Customer Order") and complete the fields below if you want the store to automatically calculate and add shipping costs to customer orders that are shipped using this shipping method. Select the third option ("Tell Customer Shipping May Be Added to Their Order") if you want to calculate and add shipping costs manually to customer orders sent using this shipping method. This option will just display the phrase "Shipping Charges May Be Added To Your Order" as part of the shopping cart checkout and confirmation pages. If you select this option, you do NOT need to remove any information entered into the other fields on this page since the store will ignore them. ZONE
CONTROL: NOTE: If the zone list is empty, it means you have not defined any shipping zones. To do so, please return to the Selection List page and click the "Zones" button shown at the top. MINIMUM
WEIGHT LIMIT: USA Example: if you enter 1.250 into this field, the store will only display this shipping record to the customer during checkout when their order weighs 1.250 pounds or more. Leave this
field blank if you do NOT want this feature active. When you do, the
store won't check for a minimum order weight before displaying this
shipping record to the customer. MAXIMUM
WEIGHT LIMIT: USA Example: if you enter 150.000 into this field, the store will only display this shipping record to the customer during checkout when their order weighs 150 pounds or less. Leave this
field blank if you do NOT want this feature active. When you do, the
store won't check for a maximum order weight before displaying this
shipping record to the customer. This field will override (replace) the results of the shipping charge fields below if their total is less than this amount. Example: if you enter 5.25 into this field and the shipping charge calculated from the other fields/tables on this page comes to only 3.75, then the store will increase the shipping charge to be the 5.25 minimum charge you specified. Enter a positive value in the field above and only use numbers (0 through 9) and a decimal point. Do NOT include other types of numerical formatting characters such as commas or a currency symbol. Leave this field blank if you do not want this field to be active for this shipping method. MAXIMUM
SHIPPING CHARGE PER ORDER: This field will override (replace) the results of the shipping charge fields below if their total is higher than this amount. Example: if you enter 75.00 into this field and the shipping charge calculated from the other fields/tables on this page comes to a whopping 133.75, then the store will decrease the shipping charge to be the 75.00 maximum charge you specified. Enter a positive value in the field above and only use numbers (0 through 9) and a decimal point. Do NOT include other types of numerical formatting characters such as commas or a currency symbol. Leave this field blank if you do not want this field to be active for this shipping method. FREE
SHIPPING ORDER AMOUNT: NOTE: This field will override (replace) the results of the shipping charge fields below if the customer orders this amount or more from your store. Example: if you enter 525.00 into this field, any customer who places an order for a total of 525.00 or more will receive free shipping (when they select this shipping method). Enter a positive value in the field above and only use numbers (0 through 9) and a decimal point. Do NOT include other types of numerical formatting characters such as commas or a currency symbol. Leave this field blank if you do not want this field to be active for this shipping method. FLAT
SHIPPING CHARGE PER ORDER: Example: if you enter 5.00 into this field, then the store will add this amount to every shipping charge calculation for this shipping method. If this is the only field you entered on this page, then every order using this shipping method will receive the same shipping cost of 5.00. If other fields on this page are defined, then this amount will be added to their results to arrive at the total shipping cost. NOTE: This type of shipping calculation can be used in addition to other types of calculations on this page. Therefore, the total of all calculations that are active on this page will be used to determine the total shipping cost added to the customer's order. Enter a positive value in the field above and only use numbers (0 through 9) and a decimal point. Do NOT include other types of numerical formatting characters such as commas or a currency symbol. Leave this
