Edit Selection Help | ||||||||||||||||||
|
This feature allows you to perform specific field changes on a selected group of products, or on all products in the store. Quick
Overview of Steps Required: Second, use the Product Selection List that is created as a result of your selections to choose which products you would like to edit. Products to be edited are selected by clicking on them - multiple selections are allowed. Third, once you have selected the products you wish to edit, choose which fields you want to edit by selecting them in the Field Selection List. Fields are selected by clicking on them - multiple selections are allowed. Fourth, decide how you want the updates to be applied by selecting the appropriate "type" of Power Edit. If
you select Individual, then multiple edit screens will appear (once
for each selected product) that will allow you to make the desired field changes
for each product selected. Finally,
when you have completed making all your selections, click the EDIT PRODUCTS button
to continue. Next, select one of the categories in the second drop-down list and click the SELECT CATEGORY button. This tells the store to display the assigned sub-categories for the selected department and category. Finally, select one of the sub-categories in the third drop-down list and click the SELECT SUB-CATEGORY button to see the products assigned to that section of the store. NOTE: if the store does NOT display a category drop down list when you change departments, it means the selected department is assigned to a single product or a list of products (and not to a category). NOTE: Likewise, if the store does NOT display a sub-category drop down list when you change categories, it means the selected category is assigned to a single product or a list of products (and not to a sub-category). NO SELECT DEPARTMENT BUTTON: if the store fails to display a SELECT DEPARTMENT button or a department drop down list, it means that NONE of your departments are linked to a list of categories, to a list of products, or to a single product. NO SELECT CATEGORY BUTTON: if the store fails to display a SELECT CATEGORY button or a category drop down list, it means that NONE of the categories (in the selected department) are linked to a list of sub-categories, to a list of products, or to a single product. NO SELECT SUB-CATEGORY BUTTON: if the store fails to display a SELECT SUB-CATEGORY button or a sub-category drop down list, it means that NONE of the sub-categories (in the selected department and category) are linked to a list of products or to a single product.
