ACCESSING MAIN MENU OPTIONS If
this happens, the Main Menu will attempt to call all of its options with the secure
communication prefix "https://" instead of just "http". The
additional "s" in the prefix indicates a SSL communication channel.
Since SSL is not working on your site, you will receive "Page Not Found"
errors whenever you click on any of the Main Menu links. While this error page is displayed, go up to the top of the browser window and carefully remove the "s" from the "https://www.yourdomainnamehere/Qstore/Qbasicstore.cgi" command shown. Once this "s" has been removed, it should look like "http://www.yourdomainnamehere.com/Qstore/Qbasicstore.cgi". Next press the ENTER key to continue. Then the browser will bring up the "Basic Store Edit" page without trying to use SSL. Go down to where it says "Use SSL for Store Administration" and change that option to "No" to TURN OFF SSL during store administration. Then press the UPDATE button at the bottom of the page to continue. Once this has been done, the rest of the options on the Main Menu will no longer run under SSL and should be accessible. NOTE: in the web address examples above, please substitute your web site's domain name where it says "www.yourdomainnamehere.com". | |
