This page is used to select which customer records you want displayed. Since there could be thousands of customers in your store, it would take too long to display all of them. Therefore, this page is used to select a "subset" of the customer database to work with. This is done by entering the first few characters of the customer's last name in the field called "Last Name String" and clicking the CONTINUE button. The store will then search the customer database and display all of the customers whose last name begins with the phrase you enter in this field. NOTE: This search is NOT case sensitive. Example: If you enter "smit", the store will display any customers who last name begins with "smit". Here is a sample list of customers that would be returned for the search string "smit": SMITH,
ABLE To view all customer records, enter "ALL" (without the quotes) in the last name field provided. You must enter "ALL" in all upper case letters in order for this command to be recognized. Entering "all" in lower case letters will perform a last name search for customer names starting with "all". IMPORTANT: when using the "ALL" command, it may take the store a very long time to format and display the list of customers if your store has hundreds or thousands of customers in its database. If this action takes too long, your browser software will "time-out" and give you an error message. |
