Credit / Debit Cards Accepted Help

This page is used to define up to 15 types of credit / debit cards you wish to accept for your store. The store will display them in the order they are entered. Blank entries will be ignored.

First Time Access: when you first access this page, the store will pre-fill some of the fields for you. NOTE: the credit card names are only pre-filled on the screen and have NOT been recorded into the store's database. You will need to click the UPDATE button at the bottom of the page to record the names and complete this section of the store.

Maximum Sale Amount
If you want the store to limit the customer's maximum order amount based on which credit/debit card they select, enter each card's limit as an amount into the fields provided. Enter them as a number with two decimal places and be sure to include the decimal point. Do not include a currency symbol or other punctuation (e.g. no commas).

Example: entering "1000.00" for a credit card called "Visa" tells the store to not allow customer orders that exceed 1,000 when the customer selects "Visa" as their payment method.

IMPORTANT: this limit is applied to the customer's order AFTER shipping charges have been added but BEFORE sales taxes are added (e.g. just the customer's shopping cart total plus the cost for the shipping method selected).

TIP: When the store shows the Payment Selection screen to the customer during checkout, it will not show any credit cards whose limit has already been exceeded by the shopping cart's total. If the shopping cart total is less than the card's limit, then the credit card payment option will be displayed to the customer.

Leave the Max Sale Amount field blank if you do not wish to limit the order size for that particular credit card type.

NOTE: if you do not want to accept ANY credit / debit cards, leave all the fields blank and then click the UPDATE button at the bottom of the page.
