Affiliate System Menu Help

This menu allows you to setup and control all aspects of your store's Affiliate Program. There are several items on the menu which may be accessed by clicking on them.

The first thing you need to do is click the "Affiliate System Setup". This items allows you to setup, configure, and control how your store' Affiliate Program will work.
This menu item must be completed first in order for the rest of the menu items to work properly!

Affiliate ID Numbers
Each Affiliate Account has a unique Affiliate ID Number assigned to it. The store tracks referrals and commissions for this Affiliate by their Affiliate ID Number. The store will automatically assign this number sequentially as Affiliates sign-up for your Affiliate Program.

The first Affiliate that signs up will be assigned the number 101. Each Affiliate after that will automatically receive the next available sequential number (102, 103, 104...).

IMPORTANT: Affiliates will need to place links on their web site that contain a special Referral URL (web site link) to your store. In this URL, they must include their Affiliate ID Number so the store knows which Affiliate referred the customer to your store.

Here is an example of the referral URL for an Affiliate with ID number 202:

http://www.yourwebsite.com/Qstore/Qstore.cgi?AID=202

When an Affiliate signs up for your Affiliate Program, the store will automatically provide instructions regarding how to link to your store and what URL to use.

Referral Hit Tracking:
The store keeps track of each Affiliate's referrals in a special database file whereby the store knows where each referral comes from, the date and time of the referral, and the customer's IP address.

This allows the store to know if the Affiliate is trying to artificially increase the referral hits by clicking on their links over and over. If the store detects multiple referrals from the same IP address for the same Affiliate Account within any 60 minute period, it will only count the referral hit once!

Commissions and Order Status:
Only customer orders with a status of "NEW", "PROCESSED", or "SHIPPED" will be included in the commission calculations below (based on order amount).

If the customer's order has a status of "PENDING" or "CANCELLED", it will NOT be included in the commission processing below.

Affiliate Account Status:
Affiliate Accounts with a status of "Active and Verified" are the only accounts eligible to accumulate commissions for referrals. The store does not track referrals from Affiliate Accounts that do not have a current status of "Active and Verified".
